How is the Volunteer Fire Department organized?

What is its primary mission?

Who is in it?

What equipment does it have?

Do they ever have fund raising events?

I'm not sure who, what, or where this group organizes. Several years back ago, I was sent an envelope and short note asking for donations. I sent a donation, not very large, and have never heard anything since - Good, bad, or indifferent?

Hopefully someone from the group will wander in here some day and answer the questions. I spoke to one of the volunteer fireman a few weeks ago and suggested that they ought to visit here. Just gotta be patient I guess.

I believe that it was formed so that the residents of the lake could get a break on their insurance. Also I think that they meet the first Sunday of every month and would be happy if you dropped by to say hello. My dates could be wrong it has been awhile since I have been to a meeting!
